Structured Credit Investments
Structured Credit Investments (SCI) is a specialised team which
created the structured investment vehicle, Whistlejacket Capital Ltd. and
has been appointed by Whistlejacket's board to manage its day-to-day
investment, treasury and support activities. The team has a mix of
complementary skills in fixed income and structured finance.
Whistlejacket Capital Ltd
Whistlejacket invests in a portfolio of high quality investment grade
securities with a weighted average rating of double A funded by the
issuance of A-1+/P-1, AAA/Aaa rated senior debt and investment
grade
subordinated debt (Capital Notes). Moody's and Standard & Poor's
require the fund to
operate within strict pre-agreed risk concentration limits, to be
market-risk neutral and to minimise liquidity risks. Earnings are derived
from the net difference between the cost of its senior funding and
interest income from its investment portfolio. SCI
receives a fee for managing Whistlejacket.
Standard Chartered, through the SCI team in London is the sole dealer on
the Capital Note programme and through the Fixed Income team in Singapore,
is a dealer on Whistlejacket's Euro MTN programme.
